Conveyor Belt Applications by Industry

Each industry loads a conveyor belt differently: sharp ore, hot clinker, combustible coal dust, foundry sand or chemically treated fertilizer. The right belt depends on the material, the conveyor and the conditions where it runs.

Hongkun manufactures rubber conveyor belts at its own factory in Qingdao, China. Choose your industry below to see the belts we supply for each plant section, the information we need for a quotation and how we handle replacement orders.

Each page covers the plant sections in that industry, the belt types we supply for them and what to send for a quotation.

Choose a Belt by Operating Condition

Within one plant, different sections can need different belts. Start with the condition the belt faces, then check the product page. Reinforcement (EP, NN or steel cord) and cover properties are specified separately, and one belt may need more than one property.

We also supply belts for other bulk-handling duties. Send the material, its temperature and lump size, the conveyor layout and your current belt specification, and we will review the requirements for a quotation.

Hongkun manufactures the belt itself. If you also need matching conveyor components, such as idlers, belt cleaners or splicing materials, we can source them from suppliers in China and ship them with your belt order. List the items with your inquiry and we will quote them separately.

Conveyor Belt Applications FAQ

Can one belt type cover every section of my plant?

Usually not. Sections in the same plant can carry different materials at different temperatures, tensions and loading conditions. Tell us which sections you are buying for so we can review each duty.

Can you supply replacement belts for existing conveyors?

Yes. Send the old belt specification, dimensions, drawings or clear photos. We review the width, reinforcement, cover thicknesses and splice requirements before confirming production.

Can you also supply idlers and belt cleaners?

Yes. Hongkun manufactures the belt itself, and we can source matching components such as idlers, belt cleaners or splicing materials from suppliers in China and ship them with your belt order. List the items with your inquiry and we will quote them separately.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Start with the material, belt width and length, quantity and delivery destination. Add the existing belt specification, operating temperatures and any fire or electrical requirements. If some details are missing, send what you have and we will tell you what else is needed.
